5. Rhode Island Red – This dual-purpose breed gives you both eggs and meat. Very hardy and can thrive in tough conditions.
6. Plymouth Rock (Barred Rock) – A solid option for eggs and meat. They grow well, lay good numbers of eggs, and are friendly to manage.
7. Sussex – Another dual-purpose breed that is great for both meat and consistent egg production. They adapt well to backyard or farm setups.
